About Sacred Kingdom Travel

A locally owned tour operator in Thimphu, planning private journeys across Bhutan since 2014.

Bhutan, shared by people who live here

Sacred Kingdom Travel Bhutan is a Thimphu-based tour operator founded in 2014. We plan private journeys for travellers who want to experience Bhutan with care: its dzongs and festivals, its mountain trails and the everyday life of its valleys.

Every trip is designed around the people taking it, and led by Bhutanese guides and drivers who know the country intimately. Our respect for Bhutan’s environment and culture shapes how we travel, from the pace of each day to the places we choose to stay.

Kinzang Coth, founder

“Travel is more than visiting destinations; it is about seeing the world with a renewed perspective.”

Kinzang Coth has spent more than seventeen years travelling Bhutan’s valleys, monasteries and mountain trails. He began as a tour guide, went on to lead special-interest and international groups, and later held management roles at established Bhutanese travel companies.

He founded Sacred Kingdom Travel to offer something more personal: journeys built around each traveller and rooted in Bhutanese culture and hospitality. Many guests speak with Kinzang while planning their trip, and some travel with him as their guide.

How we work

  • Designed for you. Every journey is private and can be adjusted to your interests and pace, whether you want culture, trekking, festivals or simply time to slow down.
  • Experienced local guides. Our guides share their knowledge with warmth and take you beyond the main sights.
  • The details handled. We arrange visas, flights, hotels and transport, and stay in touch throughout your journey.

What our guests say

“Not only is he a professional and dedicated Bhutanese guide, but he will also be a trusted good friend on your journey.”
